Volunteer Opportunities

Our stores always need volunteers! Whether you want to sort donations, price items, or move heavy furniture, you can give back to our organization by volunteering at a store near you.

Community Service

For those needing to fulfill court-ordered community service hours, No Longer Bound has opportunities to do so at our thrift stores.

Excess Matters

Excess Matters is a partnership opportunity between local churches and No Longer Bound. It encourages church members to intentionally donate gently used items to our thrift stores. Then, in the form of a gift card, we return a portion of the proceeds for those donated items. Churches have the option to disperse the gift cards to those directly in their care who need it most.

How Does It Help My Church?

First, it gives your church a practical way to partner with No Longer Bound and our mission to rescue addicts, regenerate men, and reconcile families. Second, it puts resources in the hands of every partner church. Churches can use these gift cards as part of their existing benevolence ministries. We recognize you know the needs of your community better than we do, and we want to equip you to make the difference.

What’s the Process?
  1. Church individuals or families donate their gently used items to one of our thrift stores, receiving a tax-deduction with every gift.
  2. A No Longer Bound thrift store employee will ask for the name of your church.
  3. Every quarter, your church will receive gift cards to NLB Thrift Stores.
  4. You can disperse them to church members that are in need.
How Do We Begin Telling the Story?

Once you fill out a form online, we’ll contact you and help you come up with creative ways to drive donations. Some ideas include having a No Longer Bound alumni coming to your church to tell his story, hosting a donation drive, showing an informational video, or having No Longer Bound host an event on your behalf.

School Counselor and Social Worker Program

Qualified counselors or social workers can receive voucher cards to be given to those students they identify as being in need.

If more gift cards are needed, these requests can be made by contacting [email protected].
