My name is Ben Armstrong, and I entered No Longer Bound in 2007. Before I came here, my life was out of control. One morning I overdosed on a cocktail of drugs and found myself in a coma. After three days, I woke up in a hospital bed and under arrest. I spent eight days in the hospital handcuffed to a bed and under constant supervision of a police officer. I was immediately transferred from the hospital to jail where I faced multiple felonies. My life couldn’t have gotten much worse. I knew that I needed help.

After seven years of addiction, enough was enough. I was tired of living a lie. I was tired of wearing a mask. I was tired of always having to look over my shoulder for police. I swallowed my pride and called No Longer Bound. Once I got to NLB, I was faced with a harsh reality; I was not the person I thought I was. I was a liar, a manipulator, and a criminal.

No Longer Bound gave me an opportunity to work on myself for ten months. During this time, I was able to face some of the issues that had been haunting me my entire life. God spoke into my life and transformed me into a new creature in Christ. I walked into No Longer Bound as a miserable, hopeless individual. By the time I left, I knew God had a plan for my life.

Now, I am living life to the fullest. I met my beautiful wife, Bethany, shortly after I completed the program. We have now been married a little over a year and we are now expecting our first child. Without No Longer Bound’s help, there is no telling where I would be. Thank you NLB!
